YOU ARE TRANSFERRING TO....
I know you all want the juicy details about my life and what is happening with transfers so here y'all go....
I HAVE BEEN CALLED TO BE A SISTER TRAINING LEADER IN ROANOKE,VA. (which means I am a mission leader and I will be working closely with President Salisbury, the stake president, the sisters in the zone, and with the zone leaders)
I about died when I saw President Salisbury calling us on Monday morning. I knew that he was gonna ask me to do something. He asked me if I could fulfill the calling with excitement and I was so shocked that it took me a minute to say yes. Sister Sackett was laughing because I took so long to answer back, I was seriously so shocked! And then last night when the zone leaders, Elder Malin and Elder Kent, called to tell me that I was going to Roanoke, I screamed in their ears. Elder Kent was like WHOA, someones excited! But this means that I get to go on exchanges with my trainer, Sister Rowley, and she is now in my ward and I get to see her A LOT before she goes home this next transfer. I am so excited to be going to Roanoke and to learn and grow from this new calling I have. Pray for me, haha, I have a lot to learn.
I am so happy that I get to see y'all on Christmas. :) #BESTCHRISTMASPRESENTEVER
I am also sorry that I couldn't hold it together and I basically just cried for the first 1/2 hour. Sometimes I struggle haha! It was amazing to be able to watch you all open your gifts and especially to see Dakota open his. I could not believe how low his voice has become. He is becoming a man! haha ;)
We've had a lot of weird things happen to us this past week. Since the students are gone, we are meeting some really interesting people...The bus is the greatest place for us to meet people and boy have we been meeting people. We had someone telling us that there was no Jesus Christ and then another telling us that Jesus Christ was actually his friend, Ted. So thats been interesting to hear... haha.
I went on exchanges with Sister Nelson this past week and they were a lot of fun! I love her and I'm gonna miss having her as my sister training leader. I learned so much from her and we definitely saw MIRACLES on exchanges.
I feel like I have nothing to say, since I just talked to y'all! So I'm just gonna end here and say this...
We are so blessed. We have the blessings of the gospel in our lives and its our DUTY to share it. It's no matter if we are primary president or just a simple home teacher. That's the call to serve. I hope you all think about this new years as a way to give something to Christ. What are you gonna change and give to him? I hope you will all "drop your nets immediately" like peter and the apostles did and follow him more closely this new year. I testify that following Christ brings the greatest blessings into our live and you will notice them.
I love you all so much, and it was so good to talk to you!
Follow the Savior.

Sickest week yet.
I wish I had a lot of news to tell you, but all I really have is this.
I got the flu.
I hate the flu. Its kept us inside for the past couple days and you know, as much fun as it is to stay inside the WHOLE day, I would rather be out talking to people.
I started to get sick Monday night and so we decided to stay out but take it slow. Tuesday came and it felt like a truck ran over me a thousand times. We had Zone Conference though and I was not about to miss that, so we went and President Salisbury and Sister Salisbury took such good care of me. While I learned a lot from Zone Conference, all I wanted to do was go home and lay in my bed, so after Zone Conference that's what we did. I went and laid in my bed. Wednesday morning came and I felt infinitely worse, so we called the mission nurse and she found us a doctor to go to. Sister Mitchell came and picked us up and I went to the doctor. This was the first time I've been to the doctor without my momma, it was kinda scary. I had no idea was I was doing and they were asking me all these questions and I was like I don't know! Just ask my Mom, oh wait, shes in Utah.. so that was fun! So we get in there and the nurse was like Im gonna swab ya to test you for the flu and so she comes us and she sticks the swab UP MY NOSE. that was the most uncomfortable thing i've ever felt in my whole life. Swabs do NOT belong in your nose. the doctor finally came in and said well, you have the flu. I almost started crying, I was hoping shed just be like suck it up. You have a cold. but NOPE! the flu. She gave me a prescription for Tamiflu and sent me on my merry little way. The medicine was very expensive but sister Mitchell is THE BEST and she paid for it. She went in with me to the doctor, took me to get my medicine and just has done so many things for me this past week. And then we commenced into "the week of rest" i have laid in my bed these past couple days and thats been the most exciting thing of our whole week! :)
The good news is I am feeling much better now and am ready to get going on the work of the Lord again.
In three days I hit my six months. Let that sink in for a bit. I cant believe it. I have been thinking a lot about how much I have grown and how much I love my mission these past few days and it's just so crazy how fast this really does go. I still feel like I have forever left but I feel like its also gone so fast. I only have 9 transfers left. We get called this christmas eve for transfer doctrine. what a great christmas present that will be, haha! but the good news is I GET TO TALK TO Y'ALL THIS WEEK. I'm so excited! And I have exchanges this week with our Sister Training Leaders on the 23 and 24th so i always love exchanges so im pretty excited! :)
LOVE Y'ALL TO THE MOON AND BACK. #lighttheworld

WELCOME TO FINALS
I thought I left the college experience... but it turns out, I DIDN'T!
Welcome to finals week. Just being here around all the stressed students makes me stressed, even though i have nothing to stress about. Its just the nature of college, I guess.
This week I am just so amazed at how investigators come out of the woodwork here. Anywhere we go, there is so many people to talk to and so many amazing opportunities to share the gospel. I always go back to the beginning when Sister Rowley and I first got here and people told us so many things about this area and what it was like, and we soon found out all of those things they told us were wrong. There are so many good people and different opportunities here! I have noticed that you can't go into an area with these preconceived ideas of what it will be like, its all about your attitude and how hard you work. That's how the area will be, it all depends on you and what you put into it. Its been an amazing opportunity to see this area grow and see these people grow and change in the gospel. I never want to leave Blacksburg.
We had our ward Christmas Party last monday and it was so fun! The students here are hilarious and they are so themselves, i love it so much! The Bishop here is a golfer and so is Sister Sackett and he has a little golf set that she got to swing and hit a few balls around downstairs and then they both wanted me to so i went and tried and man i suck, I TOTALLY MISSED THE BALL! and that, my friends, is why i dont play sports.
Kyle is on his way to be baptized. I am so excited for him! He lives in Bristoe, Virginia and his girlfriend is originally from there but her family moved out to Illinois. He wants to be baptized by her dad so he is flying out there to be baptized by him! So while me and Sister Sackett don't get to be there, that will be a very special day for us! Be thinking of Kyle of December 28th because he will be baptized that day and then become a full blown member on the 1st! :) I am so excited for him!
For Amanda: We tried on some silly hats last week and it made me think of you, keep the silly hat tradition strong! :) I LOVE YOU!
One experience for the week. On Wednesday, things really did not go the way we planned, and as a missionary that really kinda stinks. We had 45 minutes before our dinner appointment and we needed to go do something to get our minds off the bad day we had been having. And then because we were so distracted, we ended up getting on the wrong bus. Just our luck right? We were going to be late to our dinner appointment and the bus was being super slow. I decided that on the bus I needed to pray and plead with God for a miracle. Time basically stopped in that moment. I took some one on one time with my father in heaven to plead for help and a miracle. And then we stopped at a stop and the miracle ensued. (Background story: the first person i ever Invited to Learn was back with Sister Rowley and he was a college student named Dakota, I ended up talking to him because he had a Jui Jitsu sweatshirt on so i ended up talking to him about my family and how my aunt is super awesome, and he was super open and was interested to learn more but then we hadnt seen him since to talk to him more) Dakota got on right as i closed my prayer. I knew he was going to be my miracle. I felt impressed to grab a Light The World card and write our names and numbers on it again and to grab my extra Book of Mormon and highlight Moroni 10 and the promise in there. I did that and then started praying again for the right opportunity to give him it and the courage to do so. And it so happened that he got off at the stop that we needed to get off. So as he started walking away, I yelled his name and he came back to us. I asked him if he remembered me and he said he did. I told him i felt impressed that i needed to give him this book of mormon and our number and names. He told us that since he met us he wanted to read the book of mormon and that he'd give us a call when he did. It was so amazing. I started crying immediately after talking to him. God is real, he listens to our prayers, and he wants us to succeed just as much as we do. Prayer is real. My pure testimony is this. I love him, I know him. I want to live with him and I know that this is the only way to do so. The Book of Mormon is the word of God and to get to know him and our saviour, we must read it.
I love you all so much and I hope you've been getting involved with #LightTheWorld.
Learn of the Saviour this week. Believe that miracles can happen, because they do.
LOVE YOU ALL TO THE MOON AND BACK

#killinit - The Best Day Ever
SO MANY THINGS HAPPENED THIS WEEK!
But I'd like to start out with the most important thing. HALEY GOT BAPTIZED.
AND SISTER ROWLEY GOT TO COME! I got to see my "mom" on Saturday. I was so happy to see her. It was so amazing. But to see Haley enter the water and finally make that covenant was one of the best moments of my entire life. She was glowing. She was so happy. Her countenance is completely changed and you can see it in her. Baptism is such an important covenant and I'm so happy I got to see her make it. I just can't say enough how beautiful it was and what an amazing past two days it's been. It was such an amazing past two days. Most rewarding days of my whole mission so far. That whole day I was just thinking about how much of a journey its been for me and Haley. I've already been out 5 months and I've almost been out a third of my mission so far. What an amazing journey its been so far. I've seriously grown so much here and I know that I was here for Haley. I know it. She has been the best example for me and I cant wait to see the amazing journey she is taking now. She will be one of my forever friends. I just love her and am so proud of her!
One of my life dreams has been made here in Blacksburg YSA. I've always wanted to help someone get engaged and that dream was fulfilled this week. Mike, our assistant ward mission leader (whose actually from Monroe...small world), is dating Cassie here in the ward and he wanted to ask her to marry him through us. Which if you ask me is a little strange but I was still happy to help! He came up with a scripture chase we could do after dinner and we were supposed to ask her for their phones and use their manual scriptures. background. mike had gave us these scriptures that have to do with faith, prayer, love, marriage and in the bible on page 1230 verse number 17 because thats when they are getting married, he wrote on a sticky note, Cassie will you marry me? And so we started the chase we got to faith, prayer and we were on love and cassie started flipping through the bible AND SHE FOUND THE STICKY NOTE EARLY!! she started giggling really hard and Mike was like oh my goodness, so he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him! it was so cute!! but mike wanted us to take pictures and you NEVER give a missionary a phone because those skills fade away quickly so i couldnt get the camera to open on their phones so i basically missed the whole moment but its okay they were so stinkin' happy!! #lifemade
ALSO, Kyle Dela-Cruz, one of the most prepared elect kids you will EVER meet passed his baptismal interview on friday! It was so stinking good! the elder that was sitting outside while our district leader was conducting the interview whispered to us this kid is so prepared. Kyle is just so good! :)
We had our last sunday with the YSA students here yesterday because we have stake conference this next weekend and then church is canceled at our building cause the students are gone, so i get to go to a family ward for a little bit! It'll be fun. I havent been at one is so long!
The other day I was watching a car turn a corner, because thats what you do as a walking missionary in a car mission, and I literally had the thought. Do i remember how to drive a car? Its been so long since i've driven, its crazy! but I love being a walking missionary! what a privilege it is to have been one for the first third of my mission. i always think about when im walking around, how my heavenly father believes in me and knew I could do hard things. being in a YSA and doubling in has had its hard moments but it has been SO REWARDING. I love it so much here. I never want to leave. I am becoming a virginian.
Its weird how you change as a missionary. I got told yesterday that missionary looks good on me. that sentence basically fulfilled more of my lifes dreams because i've always dreamed of being a missionary so that was an amazing moment for me.
I dont really know what all to tell Y'all. I love being with Sister Sackett and I LOVE BLACKSBURG. Im like really serious when I say i never want to leave Blacksburg.
I LOVE Y"ALL TO THE MOON AND BACK. MERRY CHRISTMAS. #LightTheWorld
Get involved. Love EVERYONE. and change something to become better this week.
LOVE Y"ALL.
