#killinit - The Best Day Ever

SO MANY THINGS HAPPENED THIS WEEK!

But I'd like to start out with the most important thing. HALEY GOT BAPTIZED.
AND SISTER ROWLEY GOT TO COME! I got to see my "mom" on Saturday. I was so happy to see her. It was so amazing. But to see Haley enter the water and finally make that covenant was one of the best moments of my entire life. She was glowing. She was so happy. Her countenance is completely changed and you can see it in her.  Baptism is such an important covenant and I'm so happy I got to see her make it. I just can't say enough how beautiful it was and what an amazing past two days it's been. It was such an amazing past two days. Most rewarding days of my whole mission so far. That whole day I was just thinking about how much of a journey its been for me and Haley. I've already been out 5 months and I've almost been out a third of my mission so far. What an amazing journey its been so far. I've seriously grown so much here and I know that I was here for Haley. I know it. She has been the best example for me and I cant wait to see the amazing journey she is taking now. She will be one of my forever friends. I just love her and am so proud of her!

One of my life dreams has been made here in Blacksburg YSA. I've always wanted to help someone get engaged and that dream was fulfilled this week. Mike, our assistant ward mission leader (whose actually from Monroe...small world), is dating Cassie here in the ward and he wanted to ask her to marry him through us. Which if you ask me is a little strange but I was still happy to help! He came up with a scripture chase we could do after dinner and we were supposed to ask her for their phones and use their manual scriptures. background. mike had gave us these scriptures that have to do with faith, prayer, love, marriage and in the bible on page 1230 verse number 17 because thats when they are getting married, he wrote on a sticky note, Cassie will you marry me? And so we started the chase we got to faith, prayer and we were on love and cassie started flipping through the bible AND SHE FOUND THE STICKY NOTE EARLY!! she started giggling really hard and Mike was like oh my goodness, so he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him! it was so cute!! but mike wanted us to take pictures and you NEVER give a missionary a phone because those skills fade away quickly so i couldnt get the camera to open on their phones so i basically missed the whole moment but its okay they were so stinkin' happy!! #lifemade

ALSO, Kyle Dela-Cruz, one of the most prepared elect kids you will EVER meet passed his baptismal interview on friday! It was so stinking good! the elder that was sitting outside while our district leader was conducting the interview whispered to us this kid is so prepared. Kyle is just so good! :)

We had our last sunday with the YSA students here yesterday because we have stake conference this next weekend and then church is canceled at our building cause the students are gone, so i get to go to a family ward for a little bit! It'll be fun. I havent been at one is so long!

The other day I was watching a car turn a corner, because thats what you do as a walking missionary in a car mission, and I literally had the thought. Do i remember how to drive a car? Its been so long since i've driven, its crazy! but I love being a walking missionary! what a privilege it is to have been one for the first third of my mission. i always think about when im walking around, how my heavenly father believes in me and knew I could do hard things. being in a YSA and doubling in has had its hard moments but it has been SO REWARDING. I love it so much here. I never want to leave. I am becoming a virginian.

Its weird how you change as a missionary. I got told yesterday that missionary looks good on me. that sentence basically fulfilled more of my lifes dreams because i've always dreamed of being a missionary so that was an amazing moment for me.

I dont really know what all to tell Y'all. I love being with Sister Sackett and I LOVE BLACKSBURG. Im like really serious when I say i never want to leave Blacksburg.

I LOVE Y"ALL TO THE MOON AND BACK. MERRY CHRISTMAS. #LightTheWorld
Get involved. Love EVERYONE. and change something to become better this week.
LOVE Y"ALL.
Sister Schoemig
