I HAVE BEEN CALLED TO BE A SISTER TRAINING LEADER IN ROANOKE,VA. (which means I am a mission leader and I will be working closely with President Salisbury, the stake president, the sisters in the zone, and with the zone leaders)
I about died when I saw President Salisbury calling us on Monday morning. I knew that he was gonna ask me to do something. He asked me if I could fulfill the calling with excitement and I was so shocked that it took me a minute to say yes. Sister Sackett was laughing because I took so long to answer back, I was seriously so shocked! And then last night when the zone leaders, Elder Malin and Elder Kent, called to tell me that I was going to Roanoke, I screamed in their ears. Elder Kent was like WHOA, someones excited! But this means that I get to go on exchanges with my trainer, Sister Rowley, and she is now in my ward and I get to see her A LOT before she goes home this next transfer. I am so excited to be going to Roanoke and to learn and grow from this new calling I have. Pray for me, haha, I have a lot to learn.
I am so happy that I get to see y'all on Christmas. :) #BESTCHRISTMASPRESENTEVER
I am also sorry that I couldn't hold it together and I basically just cried for the first 1/2 hour. Sometimes I struggle haha! It was amazing to be able to watch you all open your gifts and especially to see Dakota open his. I could not believe how low his voice has become. He is becoming a man! haha ;)
We've had a lot of weird things happen to us this past week. Since the students are gone, we are meeting some really interesting people...The bus is the greatest place for us to meet people and boy have we been meeting people. We had someone telling us that there was no Jesus Christ and then another telling us that Jesus Christ was actually his friend, Ted. So thats been interesting to hear... haha.
I went on exchanges with Sister Nelson this past week and they were a lot of fun! I love her and I'm gonna miss having her as my sister training leader. I learned so much from her and we definitely saw MIRACLES on exchanges.
I feel like I have nothing to say, since I just talked to y'all! So I'm just gonna end here and say this...
We are so blessed. We have the blessings of the gospel in our lives and its our DUTY to share it. It's no matter if we are primary president or just a simple home teacher. That's the call to serve. I hope you all think about this new years as a way to give something to Christ. What are you gonna change and give to him? I hope you will all "drop your nets immediately" like peter and the apostles did and follow him more closely this new year. I testify that following Christ brings the greatest blessings into our live and you will notice them.
I love you all so much, and it was so good to talk to you!
Follow the Savior.
LOVE, Sister Schoemig
